Head of Faculty Technology

A.B. Paterson College is looking for a professional, dedicated, and enthusiastic Head of Faculty Technology.

Heads of Faculty are not only important administrators of the College’s Academic programme but play a key leadership role in the development of the curriculum, the teaching and learning framework and in the development of their staff. Heads of Faculty should possess appropriate qualifications and perform their duties under the overall direction of the Principal. Heads of Faculty are required to not only manage their Faculty but demonstrate genuine leadership for their staff. Heads of Faculty represent a vital communication link between the Senior Leadership Team and the staff, especially members of their Faculty.

This role is Full-Time from 1 January 2025.

Position Description

Strength and Conditioning Coordinator

The Opportunity:

A.B. Paterson College is looking for a professional, dedicated, and enthusiastic Strength and Conditioning Coordinator.

Your responsibilities:

This role is a full-time position, commencing in January 2025.

The Strength and Conditioning Coordinator will be involved primarily in the College’s co-curricular program within the Associated Private Schools (APS) and work in support of the Health and Physical Education (HPE) program where required. 

The Strength and Conditioning Coordinator will be expected to review and develop systems that professionalise and develop the Strength and Conditioning offering at A.B. Paterson College. Coaching expertise in any of the APS sports is desirable. In addition, the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator would lead the implementation of the NFL Academy’s Strength and Conditioning program alongside the broader NFL Academy team. 

Although knowledge and experience working in the sport of American Football is desirable, it is not essential. The Strength and Conditioning Coordinator will be expected to collaborate with the NFL and NFL Player Health and Safety teams to develop and implement an effective program for NFL Academy student-athletes enrolled at A.B. Paterson College. This position will require a level of flexibility with early mornings, afternoon and potentially operating a split shift to assist with the planning and implementation of training programs – working hours will be subject to negotiation.

Requirements:

  • Up to date CPR and First Aid training or be willing to obtain. 
  • Valid Working with Children (Blue Card) registration 
  • Minimum of three (3) years professional strength and conditioning experience; 
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in Sport Science/Human Movement and Industry qualification (ASCA Level 2 or higher) is required 
  • Prior work experience in a school/education setting will be highly regarded.
