STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COORDINATOR

A.B. Paterson College is seeking applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Coordinator to join the College's dynamic Sport and Activities Team. The Strength and Conditioning Coordinator will be involved primarily in the College’s co-curricular program within the Associated Private Schools (APS) and work in support of the Health and Physical Education (HPE) program where required. Coaching expertise in any of the APS sports is desirable.

This is a permanent part-time position. The key aspects of this role are:

  • Oversee the design, planning and implementation of high-quality, age and experience appropriate Strength and Conditioning programs;
  • Design programs that align to the long-term athlete development model of the College;
  • Create programs that cater for beginners through to high performance athletes;
  • Lead all strength and conditioning sessions at the College;
  • Ensuring your coaching aligns with the philosophy of the College (continuous improvement);
  • Oversee exercise/movement correction for all athletes; and
  • Ensure that students are safe during training sessions at all times.

It is expected that the successful applicant can work well both within a team and autonomously.

QUALIFIED CHILDCARE EDUCATORS

A.B. Paterson College’s Early Childhood Centre is excited to announce that we are expanding and are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Educators to join our supportive and collaborative team.

We are seeking applications from qualified applicants to fill permanent and fixed term 12-month contract positions.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • A Certificate III or Diploma of Children's Services (Diploma preferred)
  • Up to date First Aid including Asthma, Anaphylaxis Management and CPR certificate
  • A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Experience using Kindy Hub and Xplor Playground Software systems will be highly regarded.

Position Description for Qualified Childcare Educators

Assistant Director of the Early Childhood Centre

A.B. Paterson College Early Childhood Centre is excited to announce that we are looking for a dedicated Assistant Director to join our team. This is a rare opportunity and applicants need to be aware that this is a ‘non-contact’ role. 

The Assistant Director will assist and support the Director of Early Learning in managing the day-to-day operations of the Centre, including managing and supporting the team of Early Childhood Educators, and providing a high level of administrative support to effectively underpin and support the operations of the Centre.

The successful applicant will possess:

  1. Demonstrated experience in leading and building a supportive team;
  2. Diploma of Children’s Services / Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood);
  3. Exceptional communication skills;
  4. High-level understanding and adherence to the Queensland Kindergarten Framework (QKF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF) including National Quality Standards (NQS);
  5. Experience using Xplor and Kindyhub software is advantageous but not essential; and
  6. Applicants must hold a current paid Blue Card and it is also expected that applicants hold (or are willing to obtain) up to date asthma, anaphylaxis and first aid and relevant child protection training.

Position Description for Assistant Director of the Early Childhood Centre

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

A.B. Paterson College is seeking applications for the position of Maintenance Technician to join the College's dynamic Facilities Team. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring all facilities and grounds owned and managed by A.B. Paterson College are maintained to the highest standards to support the provision of the College’s brand promise.

This is a permanent full-time position.  The key aspects of this role are: 

  • Attend to/or arrange repairs to furniture and equipment;
  • Monitor and maintain College facilities, for example locks, windows, lighting, etc;
  • Liaise with Operations and Facilities Coordinator and Grounds Supervisor regarding periodic maintenance of facilities;
  • Communicate and liaise with a wide range of personnel, students, external contractors and tradespersons in relation to damage to facilities, lost property and repair and maintenance to the College;
  • Installation, removal or amendments to non-structural building elements such as walls and doors;
  • Repair of minor College hardware such as chairs and tables; and
  • Other general commercial maintenance work.

 It is expected that the successful applicant can work well both within a team and autonomously.
