Qualified Childcare Educator

A.B. Paterson College’s Early Childhood Centre is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated qualified educators for positions both in the Early Childhood Centre and Banjo and Friends Early Learning Centres. 

These positions are permanent and full-time (38 hours per week)

  • Certificate III but preferable Diploma /Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Studies
  • Up-to-date First Aid including Asthma, Anaphylaxis Management and CPR certificate

  • Experience using Kindy Hub and Xplor Playground Software systems will be highly regarded

Offensive and Defensive Line Coach – NFL Academy

The NFL Academy at A.B. Paterson College is seeking a professional and enthusiastic – Offensive and Defensive Line Coach to join our dynamic and innovative NFL Academy.

About the NFL Academy:

The NFL Academy is a major global initiative by the National Football League (NFL) offering talented student athletes the opportunity to combine full-time education alongside intensive training in American football. The elite football development program will enrol student athletes aged 12 – 18 years old from across the Asia-Pacific region to offer pathway opportunities into the sport with students working to secure football scholarships to U.S. colleges. The NFL Academy is based at A.B. Paterson College in south-east Queensland on Australia’s Gold Coast and will service the Asia-Pacific region.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Talent identification & recruitment.
  • Coaching multiple position groups with a specific focus on the offensive and defensive line positions.
  • Mentorship to the student-athletes in the program and College.
  • Community relations and engagement from both A.B. Paterson College and the NFL
  • Preparing and distributing periodic progress reports.
  • Effectively communicating with all other staff members who engage with students.
  • Communication with parents as per College guidelines on a regular basis, including presenting student progress reports and informing parents of requisite student discipline.
  • Attending parent-teacher meetings.
  • Maintaining order and discipline among students whilst promoting safety and compliance within the College rules and guidelines.
  • Attending Staff Professional Development workshops and meetings on curriculum, organisation and guidelines.
  • Checking family details and passing relevant medical information on to the College Nurse, when required.
  • Referring students to the relevant College support personnel, such as Head of House or College Counsellor as required.
  • Actively promoting the co-curricular program by attending sports games, musical productions, or club/society group meetings to support staff and students.
  • Actively participating in the co-curricular offerings of the College.

Our Requirements:

  • Current or ability to secure Australian based CPR and First Aid qualifications.
  • Suitable coaching experience.
  • Proven experience developing students aged 12 – 18 years of age.
  • Current Blue Card / QCT Registration.
