Regional Cross Country Success

A group of talented A.B. Paterson College students took on the challenge of the Regional Cross Country Championships last week, tackling a demanding and hilly course with determination and grit. The level of competition was extremely high, with athletes from across the region pushing themselves to the limit in pursuit of South Coast Selection.

  • Hayden Ozoux – 1st place
  • Bennett Longhurst – 5th place
  • Lilyana Ozoux – 6th place
  • Mickele Summersfield – 7th place
  • Tobyn O’Hara – 8th place
  • Riley Grimmer – 8th place
  • Luke Benson – 10th place
  • Summer Mitchell – 12th place
  • Imogen Ozoux – 13th place
  • Olly McLaughlin – 29th place

A special congratulations goes to Hayden Ozoux for winning the 15 Years Boys race – a remarkable achievement on such a tough course.

We are also thrilled to announce that Hayden Ozoux, Bennett Longhurst, and Lilyana Ozoux have all qualified to represent the South Coast region at the State Championships in July. We wish them the very best as they prepare to take on the best in Queensland.

A highlight for parents and students alike was having Mr Ian Taylor on course to offer his support. Thank you Mr Taylor.

Well done to all competitors – your commitment and resilience continue to make the College proud!
