I am truly grateful for the chance to move into the role of Acting Director of Teaching and Learning for Years 7-12. With a solid background in teaching, curriculum development, Digital Literacy, and Technologies, I am excited to work alongside our fantastic teaching team to provide educational excellence for all our students.

We believe that education goes beyond just sharing knowledge; it's about empowering students to tackle life's challenges with resilience and curiosity. Our aim is to create pathways for success in today's fast-paced educational landscape.

We are dedicated to nurturing critical and creative thinking skills, fostering empathy and helping students make wise choices throughout their learning journey.

We are passionate about driving innovation in learning and enjoy collaborating with our community to build a culture where everyone can thrive. As technology plays an increasingly important role, we are working with staff and students to develop an understanding of and skills that allow us to embrace contemporary tools like Artificial Intelligence to enhance learning experiences.

I want to recognise the incredible efforts of our teaching and learning team. They consistently go the extra mile to ensure our students have access to cutting-edge resources backed by the latest research and data. We are currently prioritising the implementation of the Teaching for Understanding (TfU) Framework and are providing professional development opportunities to deepen our staff's understanding of each student's needs.

The Teaching for Understanding (TfU) Framework prioritises deep comprehension and application of knowledge over rote memorisation, fostering students' ability to think critically and creatively across various contexts. It emphasises constructing meaning, transferring knowledge to new situations and developing lifelong learning skills.
