A.B. Brumbies Athletics Camp

There’s no rest for the Brumbies! Straight off the back of the School Athletics Carnivals, some of our Brumby Athlete’s headed to the Gold Coast Performance Centre for the first few days of the holidays to take part in the inaugural A.B. Brumbies Athletics Camp!

The three-day camp saw 32 of our Senior Athletes engage in training sessions, strength & conditioning, ice baths, active recovery, goal setting, team building, nutrition, guest speaker sessions and sports trivia.

They also competed in the INKCO Winter Track Meet, hearing from Guest Speaker Australian Heptathlete Olympic Gold Medallist, Glynis Nunn-Cearns and training with Australian Marathon Commonwealth Gold Medallist, Michael Shelley. It was an amazing few days, with lots of training done in preparation for the upcoming school athletics season as well as lots of memories made.

A huge thank you to Head of Athletics, Matt Stopel and the Activities team for all the planning that went into pulling together such a great opportunity for the students.

We look forward to seeing our athletes put into action what they learnt at the camp!
