A Speech Night Recount

Dec 12, 2025 9:57 AM

Speech Night began with most students enjoying a delectable meal before embarking on the long evening ahead. Many chose Subway while others enjoyed a range of delicious options. The night was enjoyable with all awards presented and the Dux of the School announced, with Matilda Grant receiving the prestigious honour. Wright House was named the Champion House of the Year.

The singing was outstanding, and the Year 12 students embarked on their final Speech Night, with the band opening the evening and keeping everyone’s spirits high.

We were inspired by Ms Sheehy’s speech at the Year 12 Valedictory Assembly, and celebrated the presentation of the Cameron Caldwell MP Leadership Award, to Year 12 student Preston Williams who demonstrated leadership as well as Excellence, Care and Commitment.

It was wonderful hearing the stories behind the major awards. Natalie Albertini, Jaydon Huang, Hudson Theil and Harlie Bolger all celebrated receiving their first major awards in Year 6.

This Speech Night was truly remarkable and one to remember!
