Welcome Back to the College!
Welcome back to the College for another exciting school year! We hope you enjoyed a refreshing summer break and found time to rest, reconnect and rejuvenate. It has been an incredible start to the term, filled with warm smiles, eager enthusiasm and a strong sense of community as we welcomed our new students and families, and warmly greeted our returning students and families back to campus.
Over the past few weeks, our staff have been eagerly preparing for the return of students, ensuring classrooms, learning environments, and programs are ready to offer engaging, meaningful and inspiring experiences. There is always something special about the first days of a new year, an opportunity to begin afresh, embrace new routines, and step forward with renewed energy and purpose. Our students have arrived invigorated and ready to engage with learning, and we are delighted to see their enthusiasm already shining through.
A strong College community is built on partnership, and we deeply value the support our parents, carers and guardians provide. This year, we warmly encourage you to volunteer and get involved in College life. Volunteers play an important role in enriching student experiences, strengthening connections, and contributing to the vibrancy of our community. We will be running Volunteer Inductions in Week 2, and more information, including dates, times, and how to express your interest, will be shared on A.B. Connect. Please note that all volunteers at the College will require a valid volunteer blue card. We look forward to partnering with you and creating meaningful opportunities for involvement throughout the year.
As students settle into the term, we encourage them to make the most of the many opportunities available at the College. We are proud to offer a wide range of co-curricular experiences, including a diverse and dynamic performing arts and sporting program, that invites students to learn new skills, express themselves creatively, and build confidence.
These opportunities also allow students to meet new friends, explore personal interests, step outside their comfort zone and develop abilities they may not have discovered otherwise. We encourage families to support their children in embracing these experiences. Often, the moments that challenge us a little are the moments that help us grow the most.
We are truly excited for the year ahead and all that it holds. As a College, we look forward to witnessing the growth and development of our students, staff and broader community. Each new year presents fresh possibilities, and with the strong, supportive partnership of our families, we know it will be a successful and inspiring year for all.
