Our Junior Brumby Netballers kicked off the school holidays with an incredible weekend at the Queensland Primary Schools Cup Netball Championships in Underwood.
This year, our Year 4-6 students combined to form one Championship team, representing our school with pride and determination. Competing against 84 teams from across Queensland, the girls showcased the skills and teamwork they have been building throughout Term 3, finishing an impressive 29th overall in the Championship division.
Across the two-day tournament, the girls played 10 fiercely contested matches with composure, grit, and sportsmanship, including several nail-biting finishes that kept supporters on the edge of their seats.
A special congratulations to Piper Reneke, who was named Brumbies Player of the Tournament for her outstanding performance.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Gabi Cannen, our dedicated coach for the weekend, and to Mrs Tennille Mitchell, who managed the team with care and enthusiasm. Your support was invaluable.
Congratulations to all the girls on a fantastic result — you did us extremely proud! And a massive thank you to all the parents, siblings, and friends who came to cheer from the sidelines.
