Year 7/8 Choir Perform at AWLQ

The members of the Year 7/8 Choir were treated to a morning of puppy pats and chats with senior members of the community on Wednesday, at the Animal Welfare League of Queensland’s ‘Prep Your Pet’ day.

The young choristers were delighted to meet pup Erica, who greeted us on our arrival at the centre. After a quick visit to the other puppies and dogs awaiting adoption, and a discussion about whether we did indeed need a Performing Arts dog, the students performed beautifully for the guests.

As well as serenading the visitors and their pets, the students were wonderful ambassadors for the College through their kind words, helpful guidance and service.

Thank you to all members of the choir, as well as Ms Rachel Newcombe, Mrs Lexene Marquenie, Mr Alex Fox and Mr Jack Sherwell, all of whom provided a lovely opportunity for members of the community to share in a morning of song, service and seemingly timely bargain hunting at the AWLQ Op Shop!
