Kokoda Training Event

A.B. Paterson College is founded on a unique Australian spirit which embodies character, determination, resilience, and integrity.

The Kokoda Youth Program, based on the Gold Coast, is a not-for-profit organisation established to change the lives of local teenagers by instilling the spirit of Kokoda, by embodying courage, endurance, mateship and sacrifice.  The Foundation run several major endurance events to help raise funds for their programs.

The College is entering 9 teams of students in Years 10, 11, and 12 participating in the 48km and the 96km Gold Coast Kokoda Challenge Event in July 2022.

The first training session took place at Mount Nimmel Hall last Sunday. Students and staff attending walked a distance of 12km taking approximately 4.5 hours in duration.

Thank you to all those involved, especially Mr Stephen Cooke, Ms McNaught and Ms Emily Fletcher.

The next scheduled training session is on 24 April at Polly's Country Kitchen.
