TEACHER of GIFTED STUDENTS
Full Time Permanent Position
(Commencing Term 3 2014, or by negotiation)
Located on the Gold Coast, A.B. Paterson College is one of the leading independent Colleges in Queensland. The College has maintained an outstanding academic achievement record over many years, and has achieved significant success in external academic measures such as NAPLAN and OP rankings.
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the College for a teacher of gifted and high ability students. The position has been set up to enhance multiple pathways for learning, training and practice to develop the talent of gifted and high ability students. This high quality teaching and learning position will enhance the wide range of learning opportunities at the College.
The focus of the role will be in the Junior School (P-6), but will also involve Years 7-12. The requirements for the position include a background, interest and/or experience in Gifted Education teaching. This position will report to the Head of Academic Talent Development.
It is expected that the successful applicant will have a genuine commitment to an independent school ethos, including co-curricular activities, and to ongoing professional learning in the pursuit of best practice. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to hold, teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
