Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to do to get my child into the Centre?

The first step is to complete our Waiting List Application, either by downloading it from this website or collecting a copy from the Early Childhood Centre. This will enable us to contact you when a potential position becomes available.

What age groups do you cater for?

Our Centre has 74 places, catering for children from two years of age through to school age. We also facilitate before and after school care, as well as vacation care for students of A.B Paterson College.

When my child attends, what do I need to provide each day?

The centre provides all meals and drinks. Meals include morning tea, lunch, dessert, afternoon tea and a late snack. We provide bedding and sunscreen. All we ask is that you provide a hat and a change of clothing and, if your child is wearing nappies, provide your own nappies.

What type of programme do you offer? Will my child learn?

All centre staff hold a relevant early childhood qualification. Staff plan and implement programmes based on children’s interests and strengths, and on the principles of early childhood development. Learning experiences are offered using a play-based approach, within a guided structure.

Please do not hesitate to contact us on 07 5571 5333 if you have any further questions.
