A.B. Paterson College Swimming Club
A.B. Paterson College Swimming Club is run independently to the school swimming programme. It is a registered club within Queensland Swimming. Students can join as recreational members, making them eligible for club nights or as competitive members, enabling them to compete at any Queensland Swimming Meet. Membership to A.B. Paterson College Swimming Club is only available to students within the College. Currently our swimmers range in age from 7-16.
Becoming a member of A.B. Paterson College Swimming Club will give children the opportunity to practise the skills needed for competitive swimming. For doing so, qualifiers receive special recognition by way of:

• A JX certificate of achievement, signed by the National Youth Coach and members of the Australian Swim Team!
• A JX motivational poster, featuring elite Australian swimmers

Friday Club Nights
Club nights are held each fortnight in Terms 4 and 1.The main goal for all swimmers is to record personal best times (PBs). Club nights will give swimmers an opportunity to establish PBs over 25m (9years and under), and 50m, 100m, 200m, (10years and over) in each stroke and the individual medley. Times are recorded, with points allocated for participation, equalling personal best times and improvement.
Parent help is always needed on club nights for time keeping, helping with the bbq and recording. If you can help out, please come along, your assistance is appreciated!
